DataCity is a prototype of an interactive window display system. The window provides contextual information about New York City to people travelling through it. The project was created as a tool tol enhance the experience of the visitors to the Skyscraper Museum in Battery Park City. The person visiting the museum has an access to information about the New York cityscape. However once they step out into the real world (context) the content is lost. By using the existing technologies nowadays (for e.g. GPS), we propose creating a window display that will directly connect the user with the content they are learning about or looking at. The display is suppose to allow people to have a dynamic interaction with their surroundings by being on a moving vehicle making its way through the streets of New York.
